Scruff Baggins EPK

Scruff Baggins is a DJ and producer with little interest in staying in one lane.

He got hooked in the early 90s on rave tapes from DJ Rap, Sasha and Andy Weatherall, then found his way into DiY and Smokescreen parties in the Midlands, London techno squat raves and everything that followed. Three decades of house, hardcore, techno, trance, breaks, jungle, drum & bass, garage and bassline have gone into the bag.

As Bring The Beat Mack he went deep on drum & bass, releasing on Jungle Cakes, Propa Talent and Original Key Records, founding Upgraded, and building a long-running relationship with WheelUp Sound System. He also ran Sounds Good Festival for ten years.

Now Scruff Baggins brings the whole lot back together. He can happily spend an entire set digging into one sound, but given the choice, he'd rather mix the whole goddamn lot.

In 2025 he played a three-hour set at Glastonbury's West Holts Meeting Place Bar.
